Trinity Primetimers, those in retirement or thinking about retirement, will travel to Georgetown, Silver Plume and Idaho Springs. RSVP to Kem Barney by June 25: kembarn7@gmail.com.
Event Details
Trinity member Kem Barney will lead the Trinity Primetimers on an excursion to Clear Creek County. The group will gather at Lakewood UMC (1390 Brentwood).
The group will watch the annual 4th of July parade through downtown historic Georgetown starting at 11 a.m. We'll enjoy a BBQ lunch with the community at Georgetown City Park following the parade. After lunch, we will learn about the history of Georgetown by visiting one of several museums (Hotel de Paris Museum, Alpine Hose #2 Firefighting Museum, or the Energy Museum). We will then visit the history museum in Silver Plume and visit historic Idaho Springs, where the gold rush started, for shopping.
