Denver, commonly referred to as the “Mile High City,” is the capital of Colorado and one of the most popular places to visit in the country. With so many tourists and attractions in Denver, the amount of summer events in Denver vastly outnumbers many other cities in the U.S.

In May, the Denver Day of Rock is a concert held by the not-for-profit organization called Concerts for Kids. Proceeds benefiting different children’s charities, annual concerts like Day of Rock bring names like Dennis DeYoung, The Samples, Strange Americans and many more.

June brings the Westword Music Showcase, Greek Festival, Denver PrideFest and many other festivals for the community. Each of these summer events in Denver has their own unique theme from music, Greek heritage to Gay and Lesbian Pride. Denver encompasses open arms to every one of every culture then seems to hold festivals to both embrace and instill these standards.

In July, more music comes with the Denver Post Underground Music Showcase, Denver County Fair and the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival, one of the top annual festivals to attend.

August presents the Cherry Creek North Food & Wine event with over 40 local restaurants presenting their dishes. With free culinary classes, VIP party, and an array of wine and spirits, the Cherry Creek North Food & Wine is a summer event in Denver not to be missed!

September brings A Taste of Colorado with half a million people in attendance each year. This event is commonly known to be the end of the summer celebration and definitely represents itself that way with so many amenities and guests.

Other popular summer events in Colorado are First Friday Art Walks. Happening the first Friday of every month, FFAW features art galleries in Denver that stay open late creating a street party festival for all to attend! This is not only one of the most popular summer events in Denver, but most popular year-round activities!
