Description
This month's America's Soul Live (Tuesday, May 21, 7:30 p.m. at the Olde Town Pickin' Parlor in Arvada, CO) will be a dandy. Our good friend Mark Cormican will join us, and we'll present, for the first time at ASL, the fantastic duo of Tony Ortega and Gar
Event Details
Kentucky native Mark is a veteran singer/songwriter who performs nationally, and is one of Colorado's acoustic music gems. His fondness for folk-themed tunes shows up in his original work, as well as his tributes to John Denver. Tony and Gary are lifelong friends who have been writing and performing songs together for decades. Colorado Country Music Hall of fame member Tony is one of Denver's true string wizards, having recorded and performed on guitar and pedal steel with everyone from the Kingston Trio to Hargus "Pig" Robbins. Gary is a marvelous songwriter whose affinity for Colorado and its history has resulted in several albums of original material. Together, they'll be performing new songs along with old favorites. A fine, fine show in the works, all right. As usual, reservations are suggested.
