Join us to create beautiful modern calligraphy for the holidays! You’ll learn how to get started with brush pens the easy way. Everyone can do this with the tips and techniques you’ll master in this workshop with Denver Artist Renée, owner of Hopscotch Art.
We’ll begin with an introduction to brush pens and calligraphy strokes, and apply those skills to lots of lettering. Once comfortable, Renée will show you how to jazz up gift tags and envelopes. You will be provided with a kit containing pens and papers, tags, cards, and envelopes to use and keep. A calligraphy handbook full of lettering samples and Christmas project ideas will inspire you to keep on creating!
This class is ideal for beginners as well as returning students looking to refresh their practice with new ideas. Please sign up now as this workshop is expected to sell out. We look forward to creating with you!

PRICE (all materials included): $65 per person includes hands-on instruction and all materials and supplies to use during the class and to take home with you.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Renée Reese is the artist behind ‘Hopscotch Art’ watercolor paintings, calligraphy and greeting cards, which are featured at Curate Mercantile in Centennial, Colorado. It brings her great joy to share her talents with others so that they can create their own masterpieces! You'll love her cheerful attitude and helpful encouragement to guide you.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Curate Mercantile workshops are built around solopreneurs, makers and small business owners. We are committed to offering you an amazing and fun experience, so we need your help to make our community work. Most events must meet an established minimum set by the workshop host to move forward. If the minimum is not met 72 hours in advance of the event start time, the event will be automatically canceled and all registered guests will be refunded to their original form of payment.
