Event Details

Denver has been known as the "Christmas city" for the past 60 years.
We will be taking you on an historic journey through the city of Denver, set to the backdrop of the most beautiful holiday lights in the city. Take this enjoyable walking tour with your friends and family. You will love stopping at the Christkindl German Market for some hot chocolate, a giant pretzel, or roasted almonds, while thousands of Holiday Lights twinkle in the background. As you stroll through this tour, you will hear stories of old Denver. This walking tour ends at the Giant animated Holiday Tree, which is located in the heart of the city. After the tour, you will be able to spend time shopping on the 16th Street Mall. Stops include:

The Denver Art Museum
The Byers-Evans Mansion
The City and County Building (the center place for holiday lights in Denver)
Civic Center Park
Colorado State Capitol (we don't go to the steps, but discuss interesting facts, from Civic Center Park).
Christkindle German Market (we will spend 15 minutes here, for a chance to grab some snacks) Note: if the line is unreasonably long, we may have to skip this stop. You’ll typically have the opportunity to return to the market, after the tour is over.
The Denver Mint
Curry-Chucovich house
The Brown Palace Hotel
Denver Pavilions
16th Street Mall
Ends at the Large Animated Holiday Tree, on 16th and Welton.
Note: Some stops may change, due to the ever changing state and city restrictions and mandates. Note: we limit the number of people on each tour to 9 or less. Masks and social distancing are required. This is a walking tour, that covers approximately. 1.5 miles. It is not a round trip tour; however, you can easily get back to the starting location by hoping on the free 16th Street Mall bus, combined with a short walk from the last bus stop, or you can just walk back.

We recommend taking an Uber or Lyft to and from the tour, for the best possible experience. If you decided to drive, you can park at the parking garage, located at the Denver Art Museum. It is located at 12th and Broadway, just past the Art Hotel. Please arrive 5 minutes early. We can not hold tours for latecomers.
