Event Details

Join Tamayo Modern Mexican Kitchen & Tequileria on Monday, October 29th for a Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) themed event where we invite you to paint your own sugar skull mug, sip margaritas & indulge in authentic Mexican cuisine.

Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated in Mexico, where people honor their deceased loved ones. The sugar skull tradition can be traced back over 3,000 years ago. It is a tradition for families to head to the grave site at the stroke of midnight on October 31. There, they would decorate their loved ones' ofrendas (offerings) with both large and small handmade sugar skulls. We are honoring this tradition with a fun-filled craft night where guests can paint their own sugar skull mugs.

The painting experts at Potter’s Touch Denver will give each participant a ceramic mug to paint & provide all supplies. While crafting, guests will enjoy Tamayo's Taco Bar & can order any of Tamayo's hand-crafted Latin cocktails. Once you finish your sugar skull creation, Potter’s Touch will take your pottery to their studio to fire, then return it to the restaurant for pickup after the event.

Gather your amigos and join us for a night full of crafts, celebration & delicious comida!

***An RSVP is required to attend the event.***

Guests will pay $32 for their craft when they arrive with Potter's Touch Denver, then pay Tamayo separately for the $20 Taco Bar. Guests have the options of ordering any cocktails for an additional price.
