Thank you for visiting the Facebook page of the Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue. Our department is located on the Eastern Plains of Colorado roughly 30 miles east of Denver. We are responsible for providing a high level of Fire Protection, ARFF Crash Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services to approximately 325 square miles of residential, commercial, and rural space throughout the Towns of Bennett, Watkins and unincorporated Adams and Arapahoe counties. In addition to coverage of our District, we routinely respond with Sable Altura Fire, Greater Brighton Fire, Strasburg Volunteer Fire, Byers Fire, and Deer Trail Fire. We currently offer five fire stations staffed by a combination of Career and Volunteer Firefighters throughout the District to provide service to our citizens and those of the surrounding communities. With our career staff, we are able to guarantee a Paramedic Staffed Advanced Life Support ambulance 24/7. Our membership is currently 73 strong and continuing to grow. Our members our trained to a minimum standard of First Responder, Firefighter I, and to the Hazardous Materials Operational Level, with many continuing their education to the EMT - Basic Level and beyond to better provide service.
