The Ballpark neighborhood of Colorado is north of the Downtown Denver district, and is a very urban area comprising of approximately twenty blocks. The very southern end of the neighborhood is home to Coors Field, a popular 76 acre baseball field which opened in 1995. Ballpark, Colorado is rich in history as many immigrants made their mark on this area. The Ballpark Historic District, formed in 2002, is preserving many buildings and warehouses which display the vast history of this Colorado suburb. Larimar Street is a popular, important row in Ballpark, offering a wide variety of unique buildings, acclaimed brick architecture, quaint restaurants, antique shops, small businesses, and more. A wonderful inclusion of Ballpark, Colorado is that of the Ballpark Market, a unique community flea market open several weekends in the summer. The Larimar Street Market provides more excitement for this neighborhood with countless open air merchants offering a variety of goods from fresh produce to crafts and even live entertainment to enrich each experience. With its small population of just 1200, Ballpark is a small community, but very important in the larger Denver Area. It is not without its rights to claim visitors who will enjoy discovering the history and simplicity of this little neighborhood. And when you have worn out your time in the enjoyable atmosphere, busy Downtown Denver is but a mere few miles away.
