Founded: April 15, 1929 Public Transit: RTD Route 72 Bus Wilmore-Richter Post 161 is a family of three parts: the Post, being composed of veterans of all branches of the United States Armed Forces; the American Legion Auxiliary composed of the wives, mothers, and daughters of veterans; and the Sons of the American Legion (SAL), sons and grandsons of veterans that wish to honor their veteran fathers. Volunteers in the Post conduct Bingo, which supports much of the Post income and the All Veterans Honor Guard which is mostly known for conducting memorial services for veterans at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
