Description

Craft brewery tasting room in Denver's Arts District on Santa Fe, focusing on a wide variety of brews crafted with international influences. Head brewer Andrew Moore fell in love with craft beer when he moved to Boulder for grad school in Classical archaeology. He started homebrewing as a distraction from homework when he wasn’t digging over in the Mediterranean and eventually decided he’d rather brew beer for a living than be an archaeologist. But that passion for travel and of history and of culture stayed with him, influencing his brews. While many brewers come from science and engineering backgrounds, Andrew is a storyteller – and an explorer. We’ve seen a great expansion of the concept of what beer can be in the last generation – but we know beer can still become so much more. Andrew has expanded his brews beyond flavors influenced by his time digging in Turkey – with his Turkish coffee stout and his hefeweizen inspired by the apricots he’d pick straight from the field during the lunch breaks on his digs – to flavors inspired from cuisines the world over (Mexican chocolate, lavender, peated-malt wee heavy) and niche historical and regional styles (Polish grätzer, Finnish sahti, Australian sparkling ale) to complement the contemporary standards (West Coast IPA, Belgian Blonde, ESB) you expect in a Colorado brewery’s taproom. And we plan to keep finding new inspiration as we grow. The Intrepid Sojourner Beer Project is a place to experiment with new styles and flavor
