Description

In 1878, Baron Alfred Gracey Darkstone moved to Colorado from his family home in Oxford, England in pursuit of the vast hordes of silver discovered in Leadville. Within weeks, his silver claim in Leadville exponentially expanded his already vast wealth, and it solidified him as one of the wealthiest men in the United States, and indeed the World over. In 1879, construction began on his new vacation home in Denver, Colorado: Darkstone Manor. Located on the shores of Lake Lowry, Blackstone Manor became the Baron’s sole purpose in life. Every step of its design and construction was overseen by his hawk-like eyes and unforgiving commands. Baron Darkstone spared no expense; precious silver gilded much of the interior. Some said he was obsessed with his newfound fame and swelling fortune. Others said he was growing mad from the thin air of the Mile High City. For whatever reason, the Baron would not stop, would not sleep, until the extravagant Blackstone Manor was completed later that year. But Baron Darkstone was not satisfied. The Manor was missing something, despite the 19th Century’s finest silver accoutrements and opulent accessories that money could buy. The Baron wanted more. Something that money could not buy – something beyond wealth. Meanwhile, it was rumored that a treasure trove nothing like the world had seen for thousands of years had been discovered in an Egyptian Tomb. Inside was found a jewel more precious than any that came before – the Black Lotus of Ammu
