The Tatarian

Tatarian is inspired by Berkeley’s endearing neighborhood history. Just before the turn of the century, each new land owner to buy property in the neighborhood would receive a shade tree as a gift from the city. In the years to follow, the Tatarian tree (a variety of maple tree) was the one that thrived and grew the most successfully on the Front Range soil, despite not even being native to the state of Colorado.
