A hootenanny is an old Appalachian expression used to describe a gathering of good folks often accompanied by music, dancing, stories, and laughter. We’ve assembled a lineup of the best comedians and musicians around Denver. The only thing missing, is you! Gather with us for a night of fun at Arvada Tavern that is sure to be a hoot.
In 2016, he proved it was no fluke by taking 1st place in the Stand-up Showdown at the Denver Improv, and then in 2017 he won the Comedy Works' Funny Final Four.
He has been recently featured on NPR for his standup and has performed on several great festivals including the Altercation, Bird City, Limestone, and High Plains Comedy Festivals as well being selected to the New Faces showcase at Just For Laughs in Montreal in 2018.
Ben Bryant
Denver based comic Ben Bryant is known for opening for amazing comedians like Rory Scovel, Mark Normand, and Taylor Tomlinson.
He's performed all over the country in prestigious comedy festivals such as, High Plains, Asheville Comedy Fest, Accidental Comedy Festival, Memphis Comedy Festival, Bird City Comedy Festival, and Savage Henry Festival
Lizzy Wolfson
Originally from outside of NYC, Lizzy Wolfson moved out west to roam the range and become a cowgirl. After years of working on ranches, she decided to hang up her lasso and pick up a microphone.
In just a short time in Colorado she has established herself as a vocal member of the LGBTQ community and an ambitious comedian, both on stage and off—she runs several shows through her production company “WolfHawk Comedy” and is a current semi-finalist in the Comedy Works New Faces competition. She has also fostered over 100 rescue dogs into their forever homes. Does that make her better than you? Yes. Yes it does.
